Who should be the El Paso Boys Athlete of the Week? Cast your vote

The Gainesville Sun is currently hosting its October 20-26 Athlete of the Week poll, and your help is needed to nominate the best athletes in the area. Nominations can be submitted by anyone, including coaches, administrators, friends, and family, until Monday morning. The deadline is crucial to ensure the recognition of the top performers in the 2026-27 season. Nominate your favorite athlete by emailing Gainesville Sun Preps Reporter Noah Ram at nram@gannett.com.

This week's featured athletes will be honored for their outstanding performances from October 20-26. Voting for the Athlete of the Week opens at noon on Saturday and can be done as many times as desired. Remember to share the poll with friends and family to spread the word.

Last week's winner was Darius Debose from the Newberry football team, who contributed significantly with five tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and seven carries for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 13-7 victory over Palatka. Congratulations to all the selected athletes!
