Veteran Hong Kong entertainment stars Alan Tam, Jackie Chan, Eric Tsang, George Lam, and Sally Yeh gathered for a dinner, reigniting memories of the city's golden era. Tam, known as Principal Tam, posted photos on Weibo of the dinner, expressing delight at running into former collaborator Lau Kar-wing, who directed him in 1981's Play Catch.
The reunion featured Tam alongside Chan, with whom he starred in 1986's Armour Of God, Tsang, co-star of 1982's Till Death Do We Scare, and Lam, who worked together on 1993's The Sound Of Bang Bang. Tam described the friendships as "precious" and "worth cherishing." The group was captured smiling around a dining table, with Chan sporting casual attire and Tsang, Lam, and Yeh each dressed in distinctive fashion.
Chan, now 72, was the youngest of the reunited stars, earning him the title "Big Brother" in the Hong Kong film industry. Fans' reactions to the photos were filled with nostalgia, with some describing the gathering as a "reunion of Hong Kong entertainment's golden era" and others calling it a "dinner of the century."
