UConn men's basketball hosts Purdue in final preseason exhibition: Live updates, analysis
Purdue will provide UConn's final exhibition test before regular-season play begins next Monday.
In East Lansing, Michigan on October 20, 2026, UConn men's basketball showcased their skills against Michigan State Spartans, finishing with an eight-point victory. The Huskies are currently undefeated in their preseason exhibition games, which include wins over Gerry McNamara's Syracuse team and Michigan State. The upcoming game against Purdue at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford will be an important test for the Boilermakers, who are facing a new era under head coach Matt Painter.
After losing key players Braden Smith and Trey Kauffman-Renn, Purdue will rely on rising star Caden Pierce, who averaged 11 points, seven rebounds, and three assists during his time with the Tigers. Braylon Mullins, a sophomore star, will return for UConn after recovering from a lingering injury. The game will kick off at 7:03 p.m. ET and will be broadcast locally on WFSB and streamed on UConn+ for a one-time pay-per-view fee of $9.99.
