Tinubu aware of food prices – Presidential aide

President Bola Tinubu is well aware of the current prices of daily necessities like eggs and bread, according to Dr. Abiodun Essiet, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement for the North-Central region. Essiet, who also serves as the presidency’s representative for the North Central Citizens’ Assembly, emphasized that the President is regularly briefed on the realities faced by ordinary Nigerians, not just journalists.

She stated, "I don’t feel it’s only media people who understand what the people are facing. Some of the reality of what our people are facing is what we are communicating to Mr President." Essiet highlighted the importance of infrastructure in the administration’s development efforts, citing community feedback on the deteriorating Mokwa-Bida road in Niger State.

She noted that the road had been out for contract for 46 years and expressed the President's intention to reconstruct it with reinforced concrete for better durability. Additionally, President Tinubu has ordered an investigation into the killing of an Islamic preacher in Katsina, following public outcry.
