President Obama made a joke about the White House’s decor during a campaign stop, comparing it to a Cheesecake Factory, which sparked outrage from Republicans, including President Trump. Alyssa Farah Griffin, a host on "The View," laughed at the GOP’s reaction, stating that the president "missed the whole point." She pointed out that Obama's comparison was to Saddam Hussein, not to the Cheesecake Factory, and questioned why people were more outraged on behalf of the restaurant.
Farah Griffin described the situation as "the culture war of culture wars," with conservatives defending the Cheesecake Factory and agreeing on a strategy to portray Obama as "out of touch and elitist." She emphasized that the restaurant has long been seen as a nice place. Host Sara Haines agreed, saying the outrage exposed the true agenda behind the controversy. "The View" is broadcast weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
