The Galaxy Z Fold 8 still feels refreshing in all the best ways [Video]

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 remains an intriguing and refreshing device in the rapidly evolving world of foldable smartphones. Now that Apple has entered the market with its iPhone Duo, Samsung's design faces increased competition. However, the Z Fold 8 still stands out, highlighting the unique advantages of Samsung's passport-sized footprint.

The outer screen offers a taster without being too bulky, while the inner screen provides ample space for various content. The flexibility of Android suits the multi-sized form factor, making it a versatile choice for users who prefer a smaller, tablet-like shape or a phone that can run multiple apps side-by-side.

Despite some UI elements feeling cramped on the outer screen, the Z Fold 8 remains comfortable to use, with everything reachable and easily accessible. The inner screen offers a bigger canvas for all other content, and its slimline design makes it easy to carry in a side bag or jacket pocket. It has become the reporter's go-to device for travel, thanks to its lightweight and pocket-friendly design. Battery life is also impressive, allowing for a day's worth of usage without needing to recharge.

One UI, Samsung's software interface, plays a crucial role in making the Z Fold 8 a seamless experience. It offers a perfect starting base for foldable devices, with room for customization through plugins and adjustments. The reporter appreciates the minor tweaks available, which add to the device's versatility. The volume buttons, dock placement, and overall design are well thought out, making the Z Fold 8 a pleasure to use in various scenarios.

While there are some complaints about the glossy inner display and crease, these issues are relatively minor and do not detract from the overall experience. The reporter believes that Samsung still has room for improvement, especially with Apple's foldable offering an almost-invisible crease and a beautiful anti-reflective coating.

However, the Z Fold 8 remains a top contender in the foldable market, and the reporter continues to enjoy using it daily.
