Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has urged his supporters to stop calling him their leader, following his reconciliation with Minister Nyesom Wike. Fubara clarified that he is now a member of the Rainbow Coalition, with Wike serving as its leader. The Rainbow Coalition is a political platform aimed at supporting President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027.
Despite being the current governor, Fubara said he has joined Wike's political family and submitted himself to his leadership. Fubara's comments came at the unveiling of the coalition's candidates for the 2027 elections in Rivers State. He emphasized that the disagreement between him and Wike was over and that they are now part of the same political bloc.
