MLC Election Results 2026 Live Updates: Counting for 28 seats underway in UP, Bihar, Maharashtra and Karnataka
On October 27, 2026, Delhi faced dust pollution, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) measuring 147, classified as 'moderate' by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). To combat the dust, water sprinklers and anti-smog guns were employed across the city, including on Krishna Menon Marg and Sunahari Bagh Road. The ongoing elections saw counting commence for 19 Legislative Council seats in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
At least 150 candidates competed in Bihar, while Uttar Pradesh held voting in seven cities with tight security arrangements. Additionally, Delhi Police arrested 15 to 20 lawyers for abusing police personnel and obstructing work at Shahdara station.
