Halloween 2026: Investigate what escaped the lab at Science Centre S'pore after dark from Oct. 27-31
Eerie experiments that lead to a secret lab.
From October 27 to November 1, the Science Centre in Singapore is hosting Spookology, its most ambitious Halloween event. The galleries within the museum will be transformed into crime scenes, inviting visitors to investigate a mysterious outbreak. Throughout the event, participants will explore four hidden Fear Labs, where they can learn about the science behind fear by examining the effects of movement, touch, sound, and illusion.
The event kicks off at 10am daily, but those seeking a more chilling experience can opt for the Afterdark edition, running from 7pm to 11pm. This nighttime adventure features live DJs spinning music at various zones, heightening the Halloween atmosphere. Two nights only, October 30 and 31, the Spookology Afterdark programme will also screen the original short film "Insanity" and provide a stargazing experience at the Science Centre's Observatory. "Insanity," rated PG13, was filmed at the venue, turning it into a psychological horror maze.
Spookology is suitable for children aged six and above, but there is a junior edition tailored for younger explorers aged eight and below. Running from October 30 to November 1, the junior edition takes place at KidsSTOP, adjacent to the Science Centre. Activities include crafting a flying spectre, building a roll-a-roach toy, and creating a wizard's potion. Upon completing the missions, participants will receive a special gift.
Costumes are encouraged, particularly for the Halloween dance on October 30 and 31, which will take place at 7pm and 8pm.
