Gian Piero Gasperini of AS Roma was thrilled with the team's 4-2 victory over Cagliari, emphasizing the significance of the win and acknowledging the talent of the young players involved. The match was a challenging one, with Cagliari coming in fresh after two recent losses, and Roma's midfield players experiencing fatigue due to a packed schedule.
Gasperini noted that the young players played a crucial role in securing the win, with two goals each from Niccolò Pisilli and Emanuele Lulli, who are products of the club's youth academy. Despite the difficulties, Gasperini praised the resilience of the players, particularly goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, who has impressed since joining Roma from Atalanta.
The win was further sweetened by late goals from Rodrigo Mora and Donyell Malen, who capitalized on the tired Cagliari defense.
