Floodwaters engulf road outside Shah Alam mall [WATCH]

In a video circulating on the social media platform Threads, floodwaters can be seen engulfing a road in front of a shopping mall in Shah Alam. The footage, posted by user @affnafeesa, shows murky brown water covering the roadway and grass verge adjacent to a tall building. The clip has garnered over 79,500 views, sparking comments from users who have grown accustomed to the frequent flooding in the area.

One user, @panacetam0l, remarked that "when does this area ever not flood," expressing a sense of indifference. Another user, @brosky90_, questioned whether the flooding had occurred once more, pointing out that the same location had already been inundated during heavy rains a few days prior. A third user, @z.aikha, stated that they would prefer to remain inside the mall during any rainfall, explaining that they would "just wait until the rain stops." The New Straits Times has contacted the Shah Alam City Council for further information.
