Fox Entertainment Studios and Endemol Shine North America are partnering with Holywater Tech’s My Drama to launch an untitled horror scripted microseries inspired by the Fear Factor franchise. The series will debut exclusively on the My Drama platform and is expected to consist of 30 three-minute episodes. According to TheWrap, this project marks the first time a Fear Factor unscripted franchise has been extended into a scripted series, and it represents the first horror series for My Drama.
The series is set during a preparation week on a remote horror television set. The plot follows a practical effects artist and her crew who unleash a haunted fortune-telling machine that forces them into personalized death trials. Survivors must uncover the machine's tragic origins to prevent it from claiming everyone they love, according to TheWrap. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
