Crunchyroll Announces Subscriptions Via PlayStation; Priced At RM14.90/Month

Crunchyroll has announced that Malaysian viewers can now subscribe to its streaming service directly through the PlayStation Media Hub on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. The company is currently offering a single plan, the Mega Fan membership, priced at RM14.90 per month. This plan provides access to the entire anime library, which currently includes titles such as Black Clover Season 2, Overgeared, and PSYREN.

Subscribers also enjoy an ad-free viewing experience, offline downloads, and the ability to stream on up to four devices simultaneously. They also gain access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault, a collection of over 100 anime-inspired mobile games. To subscribe via PlayStation, users must first download the Crunchyroll app from the PlayStation Store, where they can either start a free trial or select the Mega Fan plan.

They will need to link their Crunchyroll account and set a password if they plan to stream on other devices. After completing the payment, users can start streaming. It's important to note that if the user has an existing subscription billed outside of PlayStation, they should cancel it to avoid overlapping charges. Additionally, switching plans via PlayStation is currently not possible, as only one tier is available. Users can find more information on the help page.
