Apple's iPhone Duo is getting roasted over screen cracks
Social media is buzzing with memes over the iPhone Duo's T-shaped screen cracks, costly price point, and how it is made to be a distraction.
Apple's new iPhone Duo has sparked a wave of internet memes about its T-shaped screen cracks and potential doomscrolling. Social media users have shared creative memes depicting the cracked screens and the phone's supposed negative impact on productivity. The folding phone, Apple's first, has a waitlist longer than a mile for early users who are already reporting issues with the center fold of the screen.
Apple acknowledges the issue, stating it affects a small number of units, and directs customers to AppleCare for replacements. The memes have also included crack-themed wallpapers and jokes about the phone's design, which allows multiple activities to be performed simultaneously. While some users find the phone to be incredibly positive, others are concerned about its potential to exacerbate doomscrolling and its appeal to certain online stereotypes.
