Allegri suspended for 2 Serie A games after red card
The Napoli coach will miss Wednesday's match at Monza and Sunday's trip to Juventus.
Napoli's coach Massimiliano Allegri has been suspended for two Serie A games and fined following his red card during the team's 3-3 draw against AS Roma. Allegri decided not to appeal the decision, citing the uncertainty of a potential four-game ban. The Italian League cited Allegri's misconduct towards officials in the changing room after Roma equalised in the 89th minute as the reason for his suspension.
He is set to miss Wednesday's match at Monza and Sunday's game against Juventus. Allegri expressed disappointment at not being able to secure three points despite a strong performance, stating that he would prefer not to be on the bench during these matches. The coach, who took over at Napoli last summer, has faced criticism since his arrival. Napoli currently sits in 10th place in Serie A, 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan.
