San Francisco 49ers confirmed roster adjustments Tuesday after re-signing Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner from the Indianapolis Colts. The team signed defensive lineman Kevin Givens to the practice squad and released wide receiver Malik Turner from the practice squad. Buckner, a 2016 seventh-round draft pick, returns to San Francisco after spending his first four NFL seasons with the team before being traded to Indianapolis in 2020.
The move aims to bolster the defensive front as San Francisco seeks to regain momentum following their first loss of the season, a 29-20 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. The 49ers will have a bye week before hosting the Las Vegas Raiders on November 8.
