‘Winning together’: Trump endorses ‘outstanding Warrior’ Netanyahu ahead of Israeli elections
Netanyahu has campaigned heavily on his security credentials. Meanwhile, his election contender Gadi Eisenkot vowed to unite the country as he held his final major rally before the vote.
US President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election on Sunday, praising Netanyahu's performance as a "Warrior Prime Minister." Trump's endorsement was in support of the US-Israel war against Iran, claiming they were "winning together." Netanyahu has run on his security credentials and has accused his rival, Gadi Eisenkot, of being unfit to lead.
Eisenkot vowed to unite the country and has called for a state commission of inquiry into the failings that led to the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Both candidates have campaigned on opposing views regarding the creation of a Palestinian state and the threat posed by Iran.
