watchOS 27.2 available now for Apple Watch, here’s what’s new

watchOS 27.2 is now available for Apple Watch users, alongside visionOS 27.2. The update primarily focuses on enhancing Siri AI capabilities. Users can now download and install watchOS 27.2 via the Watch app on their iPhone, but it is recommended to first install iOS 27.2. Siri AI in watchOS 27.2 can recall past conversations, allowing users to ask about topics discussed previously, such as restaurant recommendations made by Siri.

Additionally, Siri AI can access a wider range of sources, including messages, calendar events, voicemails, Safari history, and Reading List items from the user's phone.

The update introduces an "Excluded Apps" feature, enabling users to select which apps Siri, Search, and suggestions can access. This setting is now available from one location on the user's phone. Furthermore, Siri AI now provides faster responses on the Apple Watch.

watchOS 27.2 also expands Siri AI support to more users by introducing additional supported languages. While watchOS 27.0 offered only US English compatibility, the current update includes the following languages: [repeat excluded for brevity]. This improvement makes Siri AI more accessible to a broader user base.

Another notable change in watchOS 27.2 is the redesign of the Apple Music app icon and some minor design updates throughout the app. Apple unveiled a new visual identity for Apple Music last week, and today's software update aligns with that rebranding by replacing the previous red Music app icon with a black-and-white look. Additionally, the app features more monochrome design elements.

visionOS 27.2 for Apple Vision Pro also incorporates the expanded set of Siri AI languages and the new Apple Music icon, mirroring the changes made in watchOS 27.2. No other significant updates have been reported in this latest software release.
