Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has pledged to recommend Julius Adamu, a former Peoples Democratic Party chairmanship candidate for Bwari Area Council, as the Chairman of the FCT Universal Basic Education Commission for President Bola Tinubu. This decision was made following discussions between Wike and the candidate, who agreed to step down for Joshua Ishaku, the winner of the election declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission in February 2026.
Wike praised Adamu's humility and willingness to support Tinubu's re-election plans, stating that he will immediately send Adamu's name to the President for appointment.
