Sheff Wed will move swiftly to find new manager
BBC Radio Sheffield's Rob Staton on the search to appoint a replacement for Henrik Pedersen.
Dave Challinor's departure from Stockport coincided with Sheffield Wednesday experiencing declining performance. While the club underwent significant off-pitch improvements, including revamped hospitality and commercial operations, a proper shift on the field was lacking. Challinor's successor will not be hastily appointed, but the process will not take excessive time.
Dave Challinor is the front-runner due to prior experience at Stockport, but other candidates may emerge. The new manager will need to be adaptable, leverage the current squad, and secure results, given the club's EFL spending limits. Matt Hamshaw, an experienced League One coach, will serve as interim manager until a permanent appointment is made.
