Punjab School Education Department Announces IT Jobs

The Punjab School Education Department has recently opened eight job opportunities for IT professionals within its Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU). These positions are part of the ASPIRE project, which aims to enhance performance in education through the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Program (PESRP). Interested candidates can apply online via the PMIU-PESRP jobs portal until November 8, 2026.

The department has created three positions under the PPS-10 pay scale, including roles such as Software Team Lead, Database Administrator, and DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security. Three additional positions fall under the PPS-9 pay scale, encompassing roles like Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer (UI/UX), and QA/Test Engineer. The remaining two positions are within the PPS-8 pay scale, covering roles such as Network/System Administrator and Junior Software Engineer.

Applicants must possess a Master's or Bachelor's (Honours) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Some positions may require specific certifications, such as Scrum and Agile development for the Software Team Lead role or knowledge of SQL injection and load testing for the QA/Test Engineer position.
