Former Communications Minister Isa Ali Pantami has encouraged his supporters not to be deterred by critics as he eyes a win in the upcoming Gombe State gubernatorial election in 2027. The Islamic scholar, who left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), faces uncertainty over his participation in the election, following a Supreme Court ruling that has placed his name on the exclusion list by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Pantami, in a video shared on his Facebook page, thanked his supporters for their prayers and steadfastness, urging them to continue in their faith and not be swayed by detractors. He asserted that Allah had chosen him to succeed, and that mocking those who pray for his victory would bring calamity.
