Orlando Pirates set to appoint Ncikazi’s replacement
Ncikazi left Pirates last week and has since joined Golden Arrows as their new head coach.
Orlando Pirates is set to appoint Mxolisi Mngomezulu as their new assistant coach, replacing Mandla Ncikazi who has recently moved to Golden Arrows as head coach. The decision comes after Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou requested the management to appoint Mngomezulu, who the coach holds in high regard. Mngomezulu's expertise as a youth coach, particularly with the youngest squad in the league, aligns with Pirates' goals.
He has a CAF A Coaching Licence, making him eligible for the technical bench during CAF Champions League matches. Mngomezulu has a proven track record in bridging junior development and the senior squad, having identified and promoted young talents such as Mohau Nkota, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, and Simphiwe Selepe.
