Obi, Kwankwaso, Dickson storm Abuja as NDC launches campaign council

On Monday, the top figures of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), including presidential candidate Peter Obi, his running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso, and party National Leader Senator Seriake Dickson, gathered in Abuja for a critical National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. This significant event, held in the capital city, was attended by a large number of party delegates, leaders, and supporters from various parts of the country, indicating the NDC's determination to challenge the incumbent ruling party in the forthcoming general elections.

The NEC meeting marked the beginning of a series of events organized by the NDC. Apart from strategizing their campaign plan, they had planned to officially open their recently acquired national secretariat in Abuja, formally inaugurate their National Campaign Council, and present Certificates of Return to candidates vying for presidential, gubernatorial, National Assembly, and state assembly positions.

To conclude the day's proceedings, a celebratory dinner was scheduled. Osa Director, the NDC's National Publicity Secretary, outlined the day's agenda, stating that the party would unveil the structure of their campaign council and present a comprehensive statement of account during their third NEC session. This move, he emphasized, was a firm commitment to transparency and accountability within the party.
