Microsoft extends buyouts to 60,000 staff in India, US, UK and Canada

Microsoft is offering buyouts to around 60,000 employees in India, the US, the UK and Canada under a new Voluntary Exit Offer, announced in a memo from Chief People Officer Amy Coleman. Open up to level 70, the offer has no age, tenure or performance criteria and mirrors standard severance. Employees have until early December to decide. The move follows 4,800 Microsoft layoffs in July.
