Live updates: What Sam Presti said about Jalen Williams' injury

Following a franchise-changing event, Sam Presti is set to speak with the media as the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare to play without Jalen Williams for the immediate future. In the final moments of regulation against the LA Clippers, Williams suffered a devastating leg injury. As he attempted to drive towards the basket, a collision with Kris Dunn mid-air caused him to lose balance and land awkwardly on his left leg.

The force of the impact snapped his ankle in an unnatural direction, leading to him being carried off on a stretcher. The Thunder were visibly shaken by the incident, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander visibly distraught and Mark Daigneault acknowledging the emotional toll on everyone present. The Oklahoma City crowd was equally stunned, briefly falling silent before rallying to provide Williams with encouragement.

Depending on the severity of his injury, Williams' absence could drastically alter the Thunder's trajectory, potentially transforming them from championship contenders into just another franchise. Sam Presti's official statements about Williams' condition are anticipated, and regular updates will be provided through Thunder Wire.
