Introducing ZipWiki: Portable, AI-Searchable Knowledge Packages
ZipWiki by NeoWare — your archives, indexed for AI and shrunk to a fraction of their original size. To an AI agent, a ZIP file is a blind box. It can see the filenames—and almost nothing else. To answer a question, the archive has to be unpacked and the agent has to chew through massive, heavy files from scratch every single time. Every team accumulates folders of PDFs, Word documents,…
NeoWare introduces ZipWiki, a portable knowledge package that makes AI-searchable archives smaller and faster. Traditional ZIP files are like blind boxes for AI, requiring unpacking and heavy processing to answer questions. ZipWiki solves this by shrinking documents to 1/100th their original size while preserving the information AI needs.
To create a ZipWiki package, you compress a folder into a .zipwiki file, which extracts clean text and an AI-friendly index. This index includes an AI Digest, Smart Index concept cards, and clean text. Optional original files can be linked to save space. When an AI asks a question, it reads the summary, searches the Smart Index, and streams only the needed text.
If original files are needed, ZipWiki verifies them against a CRC-32 check. Since ZipWiki doesn't rely on hosted indexes, it gives you full control over your data. The tool is available in beta and can be installed quickly at https://www.zipwiki.ai/install. For feedback or partnerships, email team@zipwiki.ai.
