The death of two police officers in Kogi State has prompted an investigation by authorities. Corporal Amos Yusuf allegedly shot and killed his female colleague, Woman Corporal Grace Onimisi, before taking his own life at the Ajaokuta ASCO Camp. Both officers were found dead after being taken to separate medical facilities. The Kogi State Police Command is now probing the incident.
In a separate legal matter, a no-case submission by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai was dismissed by a Federal High Court in Abuja. The court ruled that El-Rufai must provide his defense in the wiretapping trial against the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. Meanwhile, the FBI announced the capture of six of its most-wanted fraudsters across four continents and the seizure of around $17 billion in a global crackdown on scam networks.
