Darley Butler Company, one of Sri Lanka's oldest commercial enterprises, recently contributed Rs. 2.5 million to HelpAge Sri Lanka (HASL) to assist its Mobile Medical Units (MMU) in providing free medical and eye care services to disadvantaged elderly citizens. The cheque was presented by the company's chairman, S. D. R. Arudpragasam, along with Health care Division CEO, Rasika Hirimuthugoda. Dr. Harsha Bandara, HASL's Executive Director, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.

Dr. Bandara expressed profound gratitude to Darley Butler management for their kind gesture and emphasized that the Rs. 2.5 million donation would be utilized to expand HASL's existing mobile medical camps, which currently serve older citizens over 55 years old who are in need. According to Darley Butler, a portion of the sales of adult diapers is allocated to HASL's Mobile Medical camps to offer free medical services to the underprivileged elderly population in the country.
