Connect Forum marks seven years of TCP Youth Federation partnership

On October 23, TCP Vietnam hosted the Connect Forum to celebrate seven years of partnership with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation (CVYF). The forum went beyond a retrospective, providing a stage for young people to share their inspiring stories of resilience, ambition, and kindness. Young individuals from diverse backgrounds discussed how they had overcome obstacles to pursue their dreams, contribute to their communities, and support others.

These narratives stemmed from CVYF and TCP initiatives like the Worker Programme – Spreading Positive Energy, the Light of Vietnam Perseverance programme, and the journey and awards of "The Noble Youth".

The forum emphasized that young people are no longer passive recipients of aid but active participants shaping their own paths. They posed practical questions to businesses, social organizations, and communities about how to better empower and support young individuals. Over the past decade, the CVYF and TCP Group have developed programs tailored to the unique needs of young people, ranging from aiding disabled young people to recognizing those who embody nobility through small acts of kindness.

Key programs include the Light of Vietnam Perseverance, which has honored 287 young people with disabilities and helped launch 14 startups, and the Journey and Awards of "The Noble Youth", which has recognized 188 young people in various fields for their contributions. The Young Workers' Festival – Spreading Positive Energy has reached over 150,000 participants in 18 provinces and cities, offering health services, cultural activities, and connections.

The Community Sports Yards – Energising Vietnamese Youth project, set to complete all 22 yards by 2026, will further promote physical activity.

Both the CVYF and TCP Group are celebrating their 70th anniversaries this year, marking a milestone in their long-term collaboration. Nguyen Kim Quy, secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, emphasized that the partnership has fostered a supportive environment for holistic youth development. Saravoot Yoovidhya, CEO of TCP Group, highlighted the importance of continuing to address the practical needs of young people, such as supporting young workers, disadvantaged youth, and those with disabilities, while creating more opportunities for community engagement and personal growth.
