The Denver Broncos made a perfect trade offer to the Philadelphia Eagles before the NFL trade deadline. The offer aimed to bring back Saquon Barkley, who had missed two games due to a hamstring injury. The potential trade would see the Broncos send JK Dobbins, a 2027 second-round pick, and a 2027 fifth-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Barkley.
The Eagles could use Barkley to replace Jalen Hurts, who was sidelined with blood clots and would miss the rest of the season. Barkley's experience and offensive capabilities could provide the Eagles with much-needed relief. The trade would also add two draft picks to aid Philadelphia's roster construction. However, the deal comes with significant financial implications for both teams, as Barkley's contract runs through 2028 and includes substantial guarantees.
For Denver, acquiring Barkley would mean gaining a proven offensive centerpiece, but the financial obligations of the deal would need careful planning.
