AMC Global Media Chief Communications Officer Georgia Juvelis to Step Down

Chief Communications Officer Georgia Juvelis of AMC Global Media is set to resign at the end of this year. Juvelis, who has been in the role since 2023 and with the company since 2007, has been instrumental in AMC's communications strategy throughout significant events such as its public spin-off in 2011, the creation of AMC Studios, and its transition into streaming platforms like AMC+, Acorn TV, and Shudder.

She has also been a key figure in promoting the company's series and franchises, including "Mad Men," "Breaking Bad," and "The Walking Dead" universe. Speaking to employees, Juvelis expressed gratitude for her time at AMC, highlighting the company's success as a result of its people. She noted that the people have been the "true superpower" of the company, fostering relationships that have led to lifelong friendships.

AMC will no longer have a centralized communications team but will instead integrate various aspects of communications with the business units they directly support, a shift already implemented in international markets. This change aims to enhance coordination and alignment with business priorities. In place of Juvelis, AMC will not appoint a new CCO.

Instead, they are planning to maintain a streamlined approach that continues to leverage the strengths of their existing communications team.
