Apple is set to launch Hearing Aid and Hearing Test features on AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3 in five Canadian provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan. These features, which include a clinical-grade Hearing Aid for amplifying sound around the user and a five-minute Hearing Test to identify potential hearing loss, are currently in beta with iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2.
The Hearing Protection feature, which helps prevent hearing damage, was already available in Canada. Ontario is reportedly about to change a law that could enable the features to launch there as well.
