President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, as the Director of the Directorate of Air Mobilisation for the APC’s 2027 re-election campaign. Keyamo will be supported by Deputy Director 1, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and Deputy Director II, Engr.
Farouk Ahmed Umar, an engineer. This appointment underscores the critical role of air transportation in coordinating the nationwide presidential campaign. The Directorate of Air Mobilisation will be responsible for managing the campaign’s air-movement requirements, facilitating travel arrangements for campaign officials, and planning air transportation across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
Keyamo’s experience as Minister of Aviation and his work in strengthening Nigeria’s aviation sector will be key in leading the directorate’s operations, ensuring effective coordination with other campaign structures and compliance with aviation regulations and electoral laws.
