Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has ridiculed President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, for staging a false display of support during the APC campaign flag-off in Kaduna. In a Saturday post on his verified X account, Sowore claimed the APC and Tinubu government attempted to trick Nigerians by showcasing a packed stadium as nationwide backing.
However, he pointed out that the Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna has a capacity of just 5,000 people, and supporters were flown in from all over Nigeria to fill it. Sowore questioned, "You packed 5,000 people in Kaduna and called it nationwide support?" He further emphasized that even at that, the supporters were flown in from across the country to create the illusion of mass support.
Despite the staged crowd, Sowore remains confident that Tinubu will still lose the 2027 presidential election.
