Will Michael Carrick be sacked? Man United manager says he doesn’t know
Manchester United's 0-3 home loss to Bournemouth has left the 20-time champions winless in eight Premier League games.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has axed captain Bruno Fernandes from the team ahead of their next Premier League match due to the club's current struggles. Fernandes, who was voted England's player of the year last season, was substituted in the 4-1 loss to Como in the Champions League. Carrick criticized his team's lack of effort in that game, stating that players must run, advance, and retreat to secure victories.
This is only the sixth time Fernandes has been substituted in a Premier League game since joining United in 2020. The team has been in a dire situation, failing to win any of their last seven matches across all competitions and losing only one of their seven Premier League games this season.
