‘We Are in a Situation That We’ve Never Been In Before’ — Jonathan Taylor’s Wife Gets Brutally Honest on Colts RB’s Trade Rumors After Chris Ballard’s Firing

Jonathan Taylor's wife Ayanna has spoken candidly about the possibility of her husband being traded by the Indianapolis Colts after the firing of general manager Chris Ballard. The Colts are currently on a 2-4 start to the season and are considering their next moves, with the trade deadline approaching on November 10. Ayanna acknowledged that it might be the first time in their seven-year relationship with the team that they may not remain on the same squad, as she described their current predicament as "a situation that we've never been in before."

Although Taylor has consistently been one of the Colts' top players, ranking 10th in the league with a PFN RB Impact Score of 80.2 through Week 6, his wife emphasized that her husband had not given much thought to a potential trade. She noted that focusing on such scenarios would be unfair to his teammates and the franchise. The situation has been different from Taylor's previous contract negotiations, and Ayanna explained that the current struggle, following a strong start with new quarterback Daniel Jones, led to Ballard losing his job.

Despite this, the Colts' ownership still appears to have faith in Taylor, suggesting that more losses would be needed for a trade to be considered.
