Série C champions, Maringá celebrate first national title

Maringá secured their first national title in 2026 by winning the Série C championship with a 2–1 victory over Ferroviária. The match ended a 1–1 draw after the first leg. Lucas Bonifácio scored the opening goal for Maringá in the third minute, while Ronald Camarão added a second goal in the 11th minute. Camarão had previously scored a crucial goal in the first leg of the final.

Despite Denilson's equalizing goal for Ferroviária in the 36th minute, Maringá maintained their lead and goalkeeper Guilherme Neto made crucial saves throughout the match. Coach Ivan Campanari, who founded the club in 2010, expressed his gratitude to God, his family, and the team for their hard work and dedication. Maringá also secured promotion to Série B and a direct entry into the third round of the 2027 Copa do Brasil.
