Sage responds to questions over his Crystal Palace future after loss to Newcastle

Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage addressed questions about his future after a recent 2-0 loss to Newcastle United. Despite the team's poor start with only seven points from their first eight league games, Sage stated that he believes he still has the backing of Crystal Palace’s hierarchy. The manager acknowledged the growing pressure following the defeat and emphasized that his focus remains on the players rather than the noise surrounding his position.

Sage urged his team to compete and improve, adding that the real decision-makers are the chairman and owners. Reflecting on the match, Sage acknowledged that a brief period of poor performance led to their downfall. He explained that every player and coach makes mistakes, and today they missed just 15 minutes of play, which was enough for their opponents to secure the victory.
