PN akan ketuai rundingan SG4 selepas BN dominasi Melaka, kata pemimpin Wawasan

Malaysia's Perikatan Nasional (PN) party plans to dominate the race for the four parliamentary seats (SG4) in Melaka, according to Wawasan's deputy chief, Dr Yadzil Yaakub. The primary focus of joining the election is to secure victory despite existing dissatisfaction with constituency allocation, according to a statement by Dr Yadzil.

Notably, Dr Yadzil highlighted that while the Barisan Nasional (BN) dominates Melaka, the PN party is set to dominate in other states such as Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu. As such, their main objective in accompanying the election is to achieve victory. She emphasized that both BN and PN need to work together as a team, but any feelings of dissatisfaction should be kept in check after final decisions are made.

Dr Yadzil also mentioned that while discussing national unity and related issues, the consensus reached must be accepted, meaning all parties should agree. On the PRN Melaka 2021, Dr Yadil won Bemban alongside her Bersatu ally, Aleef Yusof, before announcing her move to Wawasan.

Recently, Aleef revealed that the BN's decision to field a candidate in Sungai Udang is a bold move against PAS and PN, urging PN to consider a solo contest. Dr Yadzil stated she would abide by the party's decision on whether to retain the area. The Bemban constituency is not part of the BN's planned candidates following their recent meeting.

Meanwhile, BN announced 21 DUN seats for the PRN Melaka on November 14, while the remaining seven were handed over to PAS and its allies. PN Secretary-General Takiyuddin Hassan said the coalition will announce its candidates two days before the candidate-naming ceremony on October 31.
