Nii Lante Vanderpuye confident of NDC chairmanship victory

National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman aspirant Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye is confident of winning the party’s chairmanship election, despite concerns that his criticism of Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) CEO Sammy Gyamfi could affect his chances. Speaking to Citi News during a visit to the Okaikwei South constituency, Vanderpuye expressed optimism about his campaign and praised party members for maintaining peace during constituency elections.

He stated that his visits to constituencies have been smooth and that the atmosphere within the party is cordial. However, concerns have been raised by Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, who believes the controversy surrounding Vanderpuye's comments about Sammy Gyamfi could weaken his prospects in the chairmanship race.
