Mbappe nets brace as Real clinch dramatic late Clasico win over Barca

Kylian Mbappe reached the milestone of scoring his 100th goal for Real Madrid as Real Madrid secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Barcelona in a thrilling Clasico clash at the Camp Nou. The France striker's brace proved decisive in the 87th minute when he tapped in from close range after Eduardo Camavinga's superb run and cross. Earlier, Barcelona had levelled the score with a goal from Raphinha in the 61st minute, after Pedri set him up.

Real Madrid's lead at the top of the La Liga table now stands at three points, ending Barcelona's hopes of surpassing the club's record of 10 consecutive wins at the start of a La Liga season, which dates back to the 1968/69 season. Both teams had their moments, with Lamine Yamal missing a golden opportunity and goalkeeper Andriy Lunin making a crucial save to thwart Martin's header near the end.

Despite the intense competition, Real Madrid's solid defense and counter-attacking prowess ultimately secured the win, delighting their home fans. Barcelona finished the match on 27 points, two points ahead of Atlético Madrid, while Real Madrid sits one point behind after 10 matches.
