Mary Kom evicted from Bigg Boss 20, bids emotional goodbye: 'I wouldn't have spared any of you'

Dubai: Boxing legend Mary Kom has been eliminated from Bigg Boss 20, seven weeks after joining the show as the most experienced contestant. Her departure was announced on October 24 during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, which was hosted by Rohit Shetty in Salman Khan's absence. Mary Kom left the house after using up both of her lifelines, as per the new rules introduced by Shetty.

Fellow contestant Manish Goel managed to stay in the house with only one lifeline left. Aamrapali Dubey, another contestant, was visibly emotional upon Mary Kom's exit, expressing that she hoped viewers would miss her. Mary Kom thanked her housemates as she bid farewell, stating that playing for so many days and acquiring that experience was great.

She hoped that they would miss her and play well. She also joked that if housemates had met her in the ring, she wouldn't have spared any of them. During her seven-week stay in the house, Mary Kom brought discipline and a sense of unity among the contestants. She was known for her time in the kitchen, workout sessions, and lighter conversations.

However, her comments about her boxing achievements drew criticism, leading her team to post a clarification and apology on her social media account. Mary Kom, hailing from Imphal in Manipur, is the only woman to have won the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times and the only Indian woman boxer to win gold at the Asian Games in 2014.

She received the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honor, in 2020. Bigg Boss 20 is airing on Colors TV and JioHotstar, featuring a diverse group of contestants including singers, television actors, and gaming creators.
