LaLiga: 'His form continues to decline' - Colino on Ademola Lookman after Atletico's 1-0 win

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman faced renewed criticism from Atletico Madrid insider Jesus Colino after another underwhelming performance in the 1-0 La Liga victory against Deportivo de La Coruna. Colino's assessment revealed a clear decline in Lookman's form, as evidenced by his minimal involvement in the match. Despite starting the game, Lookman was substituted at halftime, marking the third time this season he had been removed before the second half.

This trend has raised concerns about the Super Eagles player's current performance level. Throughout his 45 minutes on the field, Lookman did not attempt any shots or create any scoring opportunities. Colino's critical evaluation stated, "He was the Atletico player who touched the ball the least, and in Deportivo’s half, all but one of his passes were backwards.

He didn't attempt a single dribble either." Despite his recent struggles in La Liga, Lookman has managed to contribute positively in European competitions, scoring against Manchester United and assisting in Atletico Madrid's 1-1 draw with VfB Stuttgart.
