EPL: Carrick speaks on being sacked after Man Utd's 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick maintains his commitment to the club despite a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth, attributing the loss to individual errors and controversial refereeing. The match, held at Old Trafford in the Premier League, saw Manchester United struggle both defensively and offensively. Carrick pointed to a slip by defender Leni Yuro, who was later defended by Carrick as a talented player with a promising future.

Additionally, a controversial free kick awarded against Aidan Heaton provided Bournemouth with a crucial opportunity. Carrick denied that remaining on the pitch after the match was a farewell gesture, explaining that the situation caused mixed emotions due to the team's struggles and the fans' disappointment. He expressed his appreciation for the fans' support but acknowledged that the team has not delivered the expected results or performances.

Carrick emphasized his love for the job and sense of responsibility, while also acknowledging that some problems are beyond the team's control. He discussed his decision to keep Bruno Fernandes on the bench, a tactical choice made to try and change the match's course. Bournemouth's third goal ended any hopes of a comeback for Manchester United, leaving Carrick to acknowledge the difficult situation for the players and the need to accept reality and work towards overcoming it.
