Alexander Skarsgard and his viral 'Wicker' transformation
LOS ANGELES, Oct 25 — Alexander Skarsgard says he could hardly wait to become the plaited fantasy husband conjured...
Alexander Skarsgard stars in the whimsical romantic drama Wicker, where he plays the intricately detailed wicker husband conjured up for a lonely woman in a medieval village. Skarsgard admitted to feeling "panic and claustrophobia" when he first put on the heavy and warm costume that glued to his face during the day. The movie, based on The Wicker Husband short story by British author Ursula Wills-Jones, showcases the clash between jealousy and love in a patriarchal society.
Skarsgard worked closely with Weta Workshop, a New Zealand special effects studio, to create the visually stunning wicker husband. Despite the challenges, he expressed his gratitude towards co-star Olivia Colman for her support during the demanding rehearsals.
