VIDEOS: Tinubu, Shettima arrive Kaduna for APC 2027 campaign flag-off

President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, along with their wives, arrived in Kaduna State on Saturday for the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress’ 2027 presidential campaign. The event took place at the Kaduna Township Stadium, marking the beginning of the nationwide presidential campaign. A former presidential aide reported that the campaign’s Director-General and the APC National Chairman were waiting at the airport to greet Tinubu upon his arrival.

The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media confirmed that Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu had touched down in Kaduna. The Vice President’s arrival was announced by a statement from his Spokesman and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications. The gathering at the stadium brought together party leaders, governors, elected officials, political stakeholders, and supporters.

The event signifies Kaduna's central role in the presidential campaign, allowing the APC to present its "Renewed Hope 2.0" plan and highlight the accomplishments of the Tinubu administration. Prior to Tinubu’s arrival, security forces had cordoned off key areas in the city, including roads and roundabouts leading to the venue.
