ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - On October 24, 2026, Alexander Volkanovski, the 38-year-old UFC featherweight champion, secured a second-round TKO victory over previously undefeated contender Movsar Evloev at UFC 333 LIVE in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The fight took place at Etihad Arena, with Evloev displaying improved standup skills but ultimately unable to match Volkanovski's relentless striking.
Volkanovski's elite-level takedown defense stifled Evloev's early wrestling attempts, allowing the champion to dominate the fight with his striking. Evloev showed progress in his striking but Volkanovski's shot selection, volume, and forward movement proved too much to handle. In the second round, Volkanovski landed a powerful right hand to Evloev while he was backing up along the cage, causing the Russian fighter to appear visibly troubled.
Seizing the opportunity, Volkanovski quickly transitioned to top position and unleashed a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight with seconds remaining in the round. This marked Volkanovski's first finish since a TKO victory over Yair Rodriguez three years ago. The featherweight title remains firmly in the champion's grasp.
