Two Arrested Over Murder of 11-Year-Old Girl at Gomoa Buduburam

The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested two men, Kingsley Ozor, 40, and his apprentice Jeffery Otaigbe, 19, in connection with the alleged sexual assault and murder of an 11-year-old girl at Gomoa Buduburam in the Central Region. The suspects were apprehended on October 20, 2026, following investigations into the disappearance of Blessing Innocent, who was reported missing by her mother on October 19, 2026.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had visited the suspects, who were her neighbours, on October 17, 2026, and that Otaigbe had lured her into an uncompleted building where he sexually assaulted her before realizing she was lifeless. The body has since been deposited at the St. Gregory Catholic Hospital morgue, pending an autopsy. Both suspects remain in police custody.
