Mandleshwar, Madhya Pradesh: A revenue team faced an attack with sticks and sharp weapons during land demarcation in Bhaklay village on Saturday. The incident left revenue inspector Abhishek Jamra with a fractured leg and patwari Raja Kumar with a severe head injury. The officials had arrived at the village on a complaint filed by local resident Jitendra Parmar.

Nadan Singh Maliwad, Pannalal Bhuriya, Balwant Parmar, Narayan Parmar, and at least 20 others, including women, allegedly participated in the attack. Jamra, the Khargone district president of the RI Sangh, and Kumar, a patwari of Bhaklay halka, were rescued by onlookers and taken to Mandleshwar Community Health Centre. Kumar experienced vomiting due to his internal injuries.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (SDP) Purva Mandloi and SDOP Shweta Shukla attended to both officials, who were subsequently referred to Indore for further treatment around 6:30 pm. Tehsildar Kailash Sastya, Sanjay Bavel, police station in-charge Pankaj Tiwari, and other officials reached the hospital to provide support. Revenue employees expressed their frustration over the incident and claimed that the police had not arrived at the scene despite being informed.

They vowed not to resume field duties until the accused were apprehended. The police registered a case against four individuals and 20 unnamed people. Authorities mentioned that additional searches and raids were being conducted. Lokayukta revealed that another 1.15 hectares of land was linked to Indore head constable Firoz Khan, with his assets' value doubling to ₹68 crore.
